CYM “Sweep the Creek” Event
We are thrilled to share the success of our recent Cooperative Youth Ministry (CYM) “Sweep the Creek” event in which nearly a dozen enthusiastic youth from CCC and Pack 275 came together to clean up Long Branch Creek near Rolling Terrace Elementary School.
This was a wonderful opportunity for our youth to demonstrate their commitment to caring for God’s creation and being good stewards of the earth.
Interesting Finds:
- An rental e-scooter
- An FBI polo shirt
- A pillow
- An upholstered reclining chair
- Eight disposable lighters
- One baby shoe
- One iPhone
- 20 bags of recycling
- 12 bags of trash
Despite the hard work, everyone had a fantastic time, and we are happy to report that no one caught poison ivy. Their efforts not only helped clean up the creek but also served as a powerful reminder of the importance of taking care of the world God has entrusted to us.
